Remembering a loved one....

I started this service after a request from a customer. Her Yorkshire Terrier had passed on and she wanted to preserve some of Pixie's ashes in glass beads so that she could maybe wear the beads and have her little dog close by her.

We talked over the phone and hit it off when she came to see me. I took Pixie's ashes and pulled a small amount of them out into a long string of glass which I wrapped into a heart shaped bead. I've since gone on to create many more.

I believe that I have now perfected a very good method of preserving and showing cremains (ashes) into glass. Many options are available - beads, hearts, finished jewellery, small paperweights and so on. I am also able to create charm-style beads with silver linings, which have proved to be very popular.

It's a very difficult decision to decide what to do with your loved one's cremains, so please be assured that this is a service which I handle with a lot of respect.  I also know that it can take a long time to come to a decision. The grieving process is not one to be rushed so please also understand that I will handle and inquiries with sensitivity and patience. And yes, I also offer this service for people as well as pets.

If you are interested in a Memorial tribute bead please email me in the first instance. We can then talk about the process, the design and delivery of your piece. Although some people want to come along and watch the process (by appointment) others are happy to send the cremains by post. It's just a matter of personal choice.
