Terms of Sale
By accessing and using www.redhotsal.co.uk you agree to abide by the terms and conditions as outlined below:
Redhotsal is a lampwork glass bead company set up by Sally Carver, a glass bead artist, which changed to St Ives Glass Studio in March 2015. I make all my glass beads by hand in my studio in St Ives, Cornwall. I am registered under the Self Representing Artist Scheme SRA number C12 . All of my beads are made by myself, by hand, in a painstaking process which involved heating glass until it is molten and wrapping it around steel rods, or mandrels. I use a Nortel Minor burner to form the beads and then I kiln anneal my beads. This is a electronically controlled cooling process wherein the bead is allowed to slowly cool - so that the core of the bead cools at the same rate as the outer skin. This process means that the glass is not stressed during the cooling process and consequently the beads are made physically much stronger than if they were allowed to cool in the air. When the beads are made I will clean them so that the hole is free of the powdery bead release and inspect each one for quality. I will never knowingly sell a bead that I know to be cracked or defective.
