This downloadable E-tutorial will show you how to make simple hollow glass vessels. These little bottles are brilliant for storing a few drops of perfume, or essential oil, or you can fill them with sparkly crystals or small keepsakes. While not strictly a bead we are still using conventional bead making techniques and mandrels so the skill level to make one of these vessels is probably intermediate. They're not as difficult to make as they look, in actual fact.
The tutorial is in the format of a PDF - just add to cart and it will be emailed immediately to you as an attachment. The file size is 3.34Mb and there are 17 pages to this tutorial which may be printed out on your printer.
These vessels can be made on either a Hothead or any dual gas torch, such as the Minor Burner or Bobcat, for example. You don't need any special tools, just the normal beadmaking tools, but you may need a thick mandrel if you want to make vessels with larger holes in the neck. Alternatively a standard 3mm mandrel will suffice.
